REVIEW: 3 Little Divas scope out Baby Loves Disco PDF Print E-mail

Bubbles on the dance floor at Baby Loves Disco at Purgatory DallasAs soon as we walked in, the music grabbed hold of me and never let go  – I hadn’t heard Michael
Jackson’s Off the Wall, or KC & the Sunshine Band in ages!
After my 3 Little Divas (3LD) received their security bracelets, they headed straight for the toys and
tents, where they quietly snacked for a while.
Then they were on the move, hopping and bopping from the dance floor to the face painting station to snack central and back to the dance floor. There, we moved and grooved alongside a grandpa and baby;
a little one scooting around in a walker; and kids of all ages – even a 3-week-old, who was snug as a bug
in his daddy’s arms.

3LD'S VERDICT: The two older divas (ages 5 and 7) had a great time with the bubble machine and
hanging out with the 4-year-old friend they met. They seemed to think the activities were too babyish
for them, though they did enjoy the age-appropriate books. (Funny how they weren’t ready to leave
when the party ended.)
My 2-year-old, however, was in her element; if she’s got music, bubbles and food, she’s a
happy camper. She’s a big fan of Baby Loves “Dis-doh.”

MOM'S VERDICT:
Thankfully, Purgatory never felt overly crowded, and the music was at a volume
that was just right for tiny ears.
My only quibble was with the unattended bottle of beer that had been left sitting on a table,
easily within a child’s reach. Like most kids her age, my 2-year-old will pick up anybody’s sippy cup or
juice box and take a swig. Luckily, she ignored the bottle and set her sights on something else. I'll
be sure to watch out for that next time we go.
But I was very pleased to see security checking 3LD’s bracelets with my claim checks upon our exit. Plus, we
left with a nice goodie bag, which included product samples and a Baby Loves Disco CD.
