Funniest Tweets from Chrissy Tiegen About Pregnancy

“I am so excited I could barf 4-5 times a day.”

It’s no secret that Chrissy Tiegen has skillz beyond modeling and writing cookbooks — she’s also a hilarious Tweeter, whose self-deprecating observations make us laugh and zingers have led to getting blocked by Donald Trump and embroiled with none other than Hercules, AKA Kevin Sorbo. Currently pregnant with her second child, the mom of one-year-old daughter Luna also has plenty to say about pregnancy. We’ve rounded up some of Tiegen’s funniest thoughts for your amusement:

Pregnancy brain: the struggle is real.

Ah, the joys of endless tests when you’re under the influence of pregnancy hormones.

Just days after announcing that she has another baby on the way, Tiegen jokingly asked her followers if it’s “normal to get bigger, faster with second baby.” Indeed, this is totally normal, according to Parents magazine, because “once your abdominal muscles and skin expand during pregnancy, they’re never quite as taut again.” *Sigh*

Guess we know what Chrissy is craving this pregnancy.

Bloody gums during pregnancy is a common, if rarely discussed, side effect of pregnancy. According to BabyCenter, about half of pregnant women experience this and “pregnancy gingivitis” partly happens because of “hormonal changes that make your gums more sensitive to the bacteria in plaque.” Still, it’s one of those weird changes.

When Teigen became pregnant with Luna a couple of years ago — the result of a grueling IVF process, she candidly shared — she obviously was thrilled. Actually, she was so excited, she tweeted at the time, that she “could barf 4-5 times a day.” Shout-out to morning sickness!

In October before Luna was born, Teigen got real about what a growing baby does to its expectant mama. “This tiny baby is an immune system thief and i can’t wait to tell it the second it comes out. We have a lot to discuss, actually,” she wrote.

Thank heavens Teigen said it, because a woman’s immune system does change throughout a normal pregnancy in “a highly orchestrated manner,” according to researchers at Stanford.

Teigen learned early on that, when she wasn’t barfing, she’d probably want to be eating pizza. “I have come to realize that at some point in the day, I will order and consume a pizza so it might as well be in the morning,” she tweeted. Although, to be honest, many of us feel this way even when we’re not pregnant.

Months before she delivered Luna, Teigen shared how she was spending her sleepless pregnant nights: “4:30am, eating a sausage mcmuffin and looking up the gestation period of animals,” she tweeted. Sounds about right.

Awwww. Congrats on your bouncing bundle of rutabaga!
