WATCH: Irish Family Tries to Catch a Bat in Their Kitchen, Hilarity Ensues

This video of an Irish family trying to catch a bat in their kitchen is everything a video of an Irish family trying to catch a bat in their kitchen should be. There’s the patient designated bat catcher, Derry, who employs a mostly ineffective tea towel technique to trap the critter. There’s wide-eyed Maureen, who’s silently hiding behind a door. There’s the expletive-happy videographer, who berates Maureen for hiding behind a door while HE hides behind a door. And then there’s the dog, who makes a real, um, splash.

From now on, “Catch him, Derry!” is my go-to phrase when I’m bossing somebody around on a job I’m too wimpy to handle myself.
