And it looks like Chip has generously offered to carry the baby this time!
In all seriousness, Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines will be fixing up a nursery soon! They announced they are expecting their fifth child together on Instagram.
“Gaines party of 7.. (If you’re still confused.. WE ARE PREGNANT) @joannagaines,” Chip, 43, captioned a photo of the couple cradling his fake baby bump (an ongoing motif, it seems) while Joanna, 39, gives us a peek of hers under a grey sweater.
The couple are already parents to children, Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7.
And, hey, they are only launching a spinoff, Behind the Design, overseeing a line for Target, creating a line for Living Spaces, writing books, hosting vacation rentals, publishing a magazine, developing the mega-attraction Magnolia Market at the Silos, remodeling their cafe, managing their real estate business, collaborating with Pier 1 on a line of rugs and pillows, expanding their line of paints, broadening their wallpaper collection and designing children’s clothing, so they needed something to fill up all of their extra time!
Which, apparently, they’ve been mulling for a while.
Back in June, Joanna told PEOPLE, “I would love another baby — or twins! The kids are always asking me, ‘Mom, can you have another baby?’ But Chip thinks we’re done.”
Then the couple seemed to swap opinions on the subject. In October, Chip shared he was, indeed, eager to get back to expanding his family.
“We had four babies right before the show started, and then we’ve had zero babies since the show started,” he told Houston ABC affiliate, KTRK. “For me, I’m really excited to go back and try to maybe . . . try to make some more babies.”
His wife, however, wasn’t exactly on board at that point. “Maybe . . . We have different answers,” she said.
Looks like Chip found a way to charm the pants off of her. *Ahem* Congrats to the fun duo and their ever-growing family.
