Drew Barrymore’s Reaction to Getting Rare Moment Alone is All Of Us

One of the hardest adjustments I’ve had to make since becoming a mom hasn’t been the early morning wake-ups (even though I’m constantly tired) or the inability to be spontaneous (although a last-minute jaunt to Paris would be amazing), but rather the lack of privacy. Nary a moment goes by when a child isn’t calling for me or climbing on top of me. “Personal space” is not a concept with which they’re familiar. Or care about.

And as it turns out, stars — they really ARE like us!

One of my favorite actresses, Drew Barrymore, is the mom of two adorable little girls, Olive, 4, and Frankie, 2, and the Santa Clarita actress recently took to her Instagram account to show what it’s like when you do finally get a rare moment alone.

(Okay, she’s staying at the Ritz-Carlton, so she’s not entirely like us.)

While peering over her magazine in surprise, she posts:

Do you ever have that moment as a parent, where you have a few minutes to lay in bed and read a magazine at a hotel, and your like “how am I not chasing the kids around? How am I stealing a few minutes to myself? When is this going to end? And why do I feel like I am breaking the law?” #mommoment #momenttomyself #savior #backonin30 #kidsbacksoon

Yup. And you spend that precious time just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Enjoy it while you can, Drew!
